It's a toss up between this and Madagascar as my favorite tracks from this album.
I'll go out on a limb and say that I sense a Pink Floyd-ish vibe/sound in this song.
I thought of Floyd from the first time I heard it. This is one of the best on CD.

I thought it was a bit more Robin Trower...

I also think there's a lot of resemblance to Pink Floyd in this song.

The solo is vintage Bucket but it is also very reminiscent of David Gilmour
The song itself definitely has a Buckethead vibe as well as a Pink Floyd/Sabbath vibe, it is bad ass song. Definitely should've been a single. Maybe it will be at some point

It is a very good song. Some of the heavy guitar parts remind me of early Black Sabbath.

One of the best songs on
CD
.
Bucket's guitar solo on this one reminds me of Dave Gilmour's on "Comfortably Numb"

i love this song so much. everything from Axl and Bach's singing to the guitar solo just comes together perfectly and it sounds organic too.
there's a weird trippy Pink-FLoydy vibe to the song which provides an interesting complement to the brooding quality in it. overall its just wonderfully well-constructed and that guitar solo deserves wayyyyyyyyyyy more applause than it has received.
i like the fact that unlike songs like Madagascar where Axl seems more beaten down and hurt, the lyrics to Sorry reflect more of an "in your face, haters" kind of attitude.

Same with "Scraped". One of the many reasons I love both those songs.

No one does "pissed-off" like one W. Axl Rose.

still sounds wicked
it's not on the usual blues pentatonic is it?
I'm no theory expert, but I don't think it is a blues pentatonic...maybe during the chorus but idk. Gotta wait for the tab book lol
This song has definitely grown on me. The guitar is great on this song,( lots of soul, great solo), the chorus has a great rock riff. I can picture Axl writing this song on a rainy day from inside his mansion, and as a way of saying I don't need anything from the world.
well im no way saying it's a so called blues pentatonic but it still sounds to me pentatonic and sorta bluesy. i don't mean just the riff
i can picture axl writing the words on behalf of the people who're tone apart by heartless liars.

I don't think it should be a single. It's just one of those tracks that is a treat when you buy the album.

What an amazing song.
Great lyrics. Very inspiring.
