THis is so sad. Mickey described his dog Loki as the love of his life. He even brought her on the VIEW. Losing a pet can be as devastating as losing a family member for some people.  I really hope he wins the Oscar now! She was so cute and sweet. RIP Loki. I read about it on AOL. Mickey always talked about Loki in interviews.

That's sad. I remember him mentioning his dogs at the Golden Globes. RIP Loki.

My dog of 10 years passed away on February 7th. He had cancer. Losing a pet can be hard. They love you unconditionally.

At first I was gonna laugh at the fact that this was posted as a news item (seriously, dogs die every day), but I have to say, Annie, you've inspired me with your enthusiasm for This I Love and now reading this thread, it's obvious that some people take dog deaths very seriously.

It reminds me of my dog that died when I was around 7 or 8 years old.  I hadn't thought about the thing for many years.  It was very sad for me at the time, too.

In dog years, Loki lived to 126!  Not too shabby!

The 'love of his life' was a chihuahua...ah, Jesus..that IS sad.  I apologise in advance for offending anyone 'cuz I've seen the humour in this.

But losing pets can be incredibly traumatic, and it's always hard to keep going when you lose a friend.  Poor guy.

...though, I've heard that your pets are often the first ones to greet you on the other side. That's a comfort to me, at least.

I couldn't agree more. Like a lot of people, his dog meant a lot to him apparently. I hope he gets the Oscar sunday.

Its weird, my sisters dog died like the day before his. It was also a chihuahua. Killed by the damn Southwest Gas man. He kicked her as hard as he could. A 3 pound dog. My sister watched the whole thing.
