well, i think this is what happened to 90% of people, he was huge until 93-94. then his career and his albums didnt sell, the last one in 2001 was a huge flop.

It's amazing he was so successful that he could have an album sell 10 million copies worldiwde and have it deemed a "huge flop".

According to Hits Daily Double and Billboard, he has the 3 best selling albums of the week... and the first time in history that a Billboard "catalog" album has outsold the #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart (which was done by all three albums).

my bad, i heard that the album was a huge flop, i didnt knew the numbers.  probably they were hoping to sell more, but indeed 10 million copies is a pretty respectable number.

I think that is one of the poorer tracks on the album. I'll list my top 5 songs from Invincible, even though it's actually quite hard to pick, the whole album is good. If you want to listen to how he feels about being stalked by the media, listen to "Privacy". It's a good and pretty hard song.
Top 5:
1. Heartbreaker
2. Unbreakable
3. You Rock My World
4. Speechless
5. Cry

Watching the news last evening, they stated that children are with grama, and that if grama could not take care of them, they would be raised by Diana Ross I believe and Michael has made mom beneficiary in his will.  He left nothing to daddy Joe, not surprised.

I heard that Joe was NOT excluded, as was previously reported.  He was mentioned in the will.  Kind of odd for the guardians both to be senior citizens, but I guess they were the 2 best options.  Also no public viewing this weekend but Larry King is doing a special tonight from Neverland.  They're going inside the house.  Must see TV.

I'd love to see this, but my shitty european version of CNN (the international one) doesn't air Larry King Live for some idiotic reason! rant
Is there anywhere I can see the show live? I know he puts 30 mins summaries on the CNN web page, but I really want to see this live.

When the media report how Jackson was 500 million in debt, they somehow conveniently forget to mention that his assets are valued at like 1 to 2 billion.

Here is a clip of his last dance rehearsal.  He does look pretty exhausted, but maybe this was near the end of the rehearsal, who knows:

Quincy Jones reminisces on meeting Michael and producing Thriller:
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/music_blog/2009/06/quincy-jones-on-michael-jackson-we-owned-the-80s-and-our-souls-would-be-connected-forever.html

I liked this part
With two months to get "Thriller" done, we dug in and really hit it. Michael, Rod, the great engineer Bruce Swedien and I had all spent so much time together by now that we had a shorthand, so moving quickly wasn't a problem. I told Michael that we needed a black rock 'n' roll tune -- a black "My Sharona" -- and a begging tune for the album. He came back with "Beat It" and Rod came back with "The Lady in My Life."

Rod also brought in "Thriller" and Michael sang his heart out on it. At one point during the session the right speaker burst into flames, which none of us had ever seen before. How's that for a sign?

I think it's quite clear it was choreagraphed that way.  Now if they did it in a toned down manner because of his lack of energy, I guess that's a possibility.  But it certainly was meant to be done that way.

Yeah seeing something like "Billy Jean" would be a better indication of whether he was in top gear.  Though what was shown was far more energetic, controlled and snappy than I would have suspected.  Such a shame for his fans that had tickets for the 02, it looks like it was going to be spectacular.

I was disappointed at first that he was miming, but I think that would be missing the point.  His shows where always more about the spectacle and, well, "the show" rather than a live singing clinic.  He lip synced many times throughout his career, though when he chose not to he was still excellent.

I found out last week that my mother had managed to track down tickets to one of the O2 Arena shows, and was in the process of buying a bunch of them for my parents, myself, my sister and niece's.  Made me even more depressed... I was wandering around like a zombie all Friday.

I knew that MJ was recording an album but as it turns out it wasn't just one album it were actually two albums.
Recording two albums while also preparing for a 50 date string of concerts is just crazy. I mean that would be enough to push a healthy person over the edge, Let alone MJ.

They found the Synthetic sleep thing that is used in hospitals in his house. U have to have someone monitor u cause it can be fatal

its pretty obvious he had that administered which is why the doctor was there and found him with a shallow pulse. I am sure the doctor came in to check on him and realized that Michael was in trouble.

damn shame.

Ugh, this is such a waste of talent.  I don't know if anybody here watches 48 Hours Mysteries, but I seem to remember a nurse who killed her husband with something like Propofol (sp.?).  Dangerous stuff.   It probably didn't help Michael probably weighed about 95 pounds soaking wet.

Hopefully, this tragedy teches a lesson to folks out there who are using drugs they shouldn't be.
