Ah, should've guessed that it's on Wikipedia.  Grin

Just curious why some think there'd be no suitable venue for GN'R in Chile when other bands are playing there.

/jarmo

Cause GNR has lost plenty of popularity in Chile. It's quite unpredictable to know which is the most appropriate venue for Guns n' Roses these days in Chile, besides Chinese Democracy didn't sell very well here...

This is Movistar Arena, here has performed Judas Priest, Nine Inch Nails, Megadeth among others...

Woulds be great if GNR will perfomring in this Arena.

estebanf, the record was available for purchase in December, 2008. I bought it that date.

Here you got another alternative for the GNR show in Chile. Bicentenario de La Florida Stadium ( a couple of blocks near to my home  ok) , his capacity is 12.000 people aprox. (but soccer games),  I attended Kiss show last year and there were 20.000 people aprox. Faith No More, was performig there a couple a week ago and the stadium was crowded, more than 20.000 people. I think this is a nice venue for Guns n' Roses.

Here some pics..

Mike Patton at the La Florida Stadium.

How come we get the same story every year?

Can somebody in Brazil maybe explain why the promoters there seem to be so happy to talk about who they want to see in Brazil and/or who they are working on booking?

I hope for the Brazilian fans' sake that the band will play there, but you have to wonder why this thing happens over and over again.

/jarmo
When a promoter says they're negotiatin with GNR, they become the topic.  ok
If some promoter has power to bring GNR, it's Time 4 Fun, they are really in advanced negotiations.
But other promoters spread rumors every week. I don't know if they're realt or not, but almost always, the're false.

Yes, the negotiation exists, but as too much as you guys hear. Lots of promoters invent that, and brazilian fans, histerical as only they are, come and post every rumor.

I don't know if I say what came to my ears 5 minutes ago...

Well, PLEASE take this as another rumor...

- T4F is bringing GNR to Brazil, not Malab
- I have a friend that works in T4F and he works on all the big shows here in Brazil, he always says to me some "news" before it hits the media (Brazil in this case of course)
- The show in S?o Paulo will be in Morumbi (S?o Paulo stadium  beer )
- He said to me that Guns will do 3 shows in Brazil, that the others 2 of 5 COULD happen, but he's not shure.

oh God, you dont know how i want this to happen.

It would be the perfect ocassion to come two of my dreams true: attending a GNR concert (i was at one, but not with this lineup) and being inside one of the most incredible football temples in the world, the Morumbi.

i'll be there with you guys, no matter what  beer
