Who?

« on: August 27, 2010, 08:58:58 AM »

It's been awhile since I've been round these parts but I'm looking for some advice from my fellow GN'R fans.

I had kind of lost interest in the band, I'll be honest, but I've had a change of heart and I'm listening to them non-stop again.

Anyway the point is I'm thinking about going down to Leeds for the day on Sunday to try and catch them.  I can get transport down, that is easy, but the issue is getting a ticket.

Now I know from my past festival experience, touts are a plenty so that is not the issue, the problem is, how much will I have to pay (get ripped off??)  and will the ticket be legit, I see loads of Leeds/Reading forum postings saying don't trust them you get fake ones etc. and so on

So at the moment I'm in 2 minds about it and just looking for some advice from my fellow fans.

what the touts do is loosen the wristbands, then put them on someone else.

so you can be pretty sure you will get in, the cost however, for the entire day friday at reading when rage were reformed touts were looking for at least ?200 for a day entry. in the end i managed to get in for ?140 but it's still almost treble what the price for that day was.

?140 I could live with, I'm mighty tempted, the biggest issue is the chance of a fake ticket.

they get wristbands, go in a large group take the wristbands off inside, one or two guys goes out with all the extra bands, find people puts the bands on escorts them in to the arena, take off the bands and repeat
