My friend who went to the Stones arena concert said there was a mask rule but once he got inside nobody cared or enforced it.
Do you really want to know?
My neighbor thinks there is metal in the vaccine. Some how that is going to kill all of us in 5 years because "they" want to reduce the world population and some how this leads to one world government and of course it is socialist. I remind him he sprays that secret paint formula that blocks radar. If spraying paint in small spaces wasn't bad enough, who knows what's in that shit. You took Boeing's word for it that was safe. I'm betting there is more scientific knowledge with the vaccine then there is with exposure to that paint. Maybe that paint is starting to wear on his brain.
My uncle thinks it makes you sterile.
Is he one of those people we hope it does?
The neighbor is probably getting the shot today. He's not prepared to lose his job or his health insurance. Or screw up his way to retire in 4 years. The whole religious exemption excuse caved for him when you had to have a letter from your religious leader. He hasn't practiced his religion since he was a Catholic school boy.

Shit, the city got stimulus money and decided to use it to bring some of the subdivisions who are out of compliance into code. We asked if we could use some of that money too but they need it for roads and bridges. They're just using this little bit to hold us accountable. Fair enough. How I would have handled it too if I had my tight fist on the government money. But if it wasn't for the stimulus money we would have went right on ignoring each other.
We voted to let the city fix what they think is a problem and bill us. At least they didn't reform the HOA. We're way out of compliance with those rules.

We're back on an upward trend with covid cases. They are blaming the weather with everyone coming back indoors and some of them not being vaccinated.

Shit, I ordered a new couch in May, due in October because of covid delays. On it's 4th delay now due to fabric delays. Now due by the end of December.
So far so good on deliveries of Christmas gifts. Only one item having trouble shipping, also a fabric item. I'm mostly done.

it is strange how some things are backordered and some not. We are moving next month and we've bought a new couch and washer and dryer. The couch we absolutely couldn't get delivered until December. The washer and dryer we could have gotten in a few days It wasn't a big deal for us because we wanted to have them both delivered to the new place so we didn't have to have it moved.

I'd like to know why they told me on Monday it would be here Friday and then tell me on Friday it would be another 6 weeks.
Yeah strange. I've had stuff saying it was waiting to clear customs when the site said it was in stock. It cleared customs pretty quick. My Amazon orders are suppose to be combined for delivery day yet they are showing up faster. I saw FedEx using a rental truck. Even the post office delivered something early. Probably will be a different story after Thanksgiving.
You are moving in December? That's a lot to do in one month. Did you buy a house?

It's kinda weird seeing all these stories from around the world.
In most countries, the majority of the population want the vaccine and want life to return to normal. Yet there are some that either can't, or doesn't want it.
Now Austria will have a new lockdown. I wonder how that feels to all those who did take the vaccine for the greater good of everyone. People and their rights to choose essentially means everyone stays at home.
But then again, they will have a vaccine mandate in the future because the right to choose doesn't work.... In the name of national heath.
Here in Sweden booster shots are given to those over 65 at the moment.

We're seeing a lot of people not wanting to go back to normal, many job openings. They want to blame low wages but I think it's a different kind of cost people don't want any more. Those jobs after the normal business hours come at a cost to those employees that have to do with the quality of life. I can tell you when I was raising kids no way I would have worked the second shift. As far as hospitality jobs goes, fuck some of you people, I'm an employee not your personal slave/punching bag.
I think I'd rather kill chickens then deal with some of those people.
The US just agreed to boosters for everybody over 18. And I think caved on making people get shots for employment. Should make the neighbor happy.
Lockdowns don't effect my life too much. I realize there is a bigger picture price but I rather liked the world being slowed down.

Yep, OSHA suspended it for now pending further court case outcomes on the mandate.

Stopped into drop off my cardboard recycling. They must have had 25 containers out there, double what they normally have and they were all full. Is that an indicator of the amount of online shopping going on? Saw a lot of Amazon boxes.

My friend who normally works remotely was told he needed to come into the office two days a week. The rest of the staff was complaining he got to work from home and they had to come in. He wasn't there two days and got covid. He's fully vaccinated and had his booster. The boss told him to work from home the rest of the month.

Another new variant. I was kind of surprised they cut off entrance from South Africa. Did they do that with the last new variant?

Appears everyone is concerned. Europe is acting too.

My pharmacy only has Moderna so I'm going to be mixing vaccines.
Is brain fog a side effect? Being tired? Hard to tell if this is my normal, I've hit the wall and need to sit out for a while, or if I'm fighting something.
Anyway, shipping and clearing customs is clicking right along. Maybe I'm just ahead of the pack but I'm not having any problems with that.

I was kind of sick last night after the booster. Low grade fever, headache and queasy. For some reason I felt better after drinking a coke.

We have the new one in town.
Shipping and ordering hasn't been a problem. I have one gift yet to come in and it's right on time. I have Christmas chap sticks that keep getting delayed. Not a biggie, they just go in the stockings but how weird that product has a problem being filled. It's beeswax. Did the bees shut down for covid?
