The AC/DC boards are probably angry because they've only seen the shows that got press or attention for being subpar(WTTJ acoustic/VMAs from yrs ago).  But if people heard the shows that many of us have, they'd have a different perspective.  If the AC/DC shows happen, many GN'R fans are afraid of it derailing a full tour, took. But both fan bases are off with the worries.  Axl would sound great and 10 shows wouldn't derail GN'R.  If the man wants to do it, it's a chance to hear something cool and different.  For AC/DC fans, it's cancellations or an exciting guest singer.  Where's the downside in that?

The downside for the AC/DC fans would be losing their lead singer.

As much as I'm a super fan of Axl, I can understand their concern. I'm sure Axl would do great singing AC/DC songs, but the vocalist provides the greatest share of personality to a band's sound and is the hardest to replicate.

Just imagine someone replacing Axl in GN'R... it's impossible.

This would be amazing. IF TRUE. It's only 10 shows (reportedly) and would generate even more interest for the GN'R Reunion Tour.

I would pay big money to see Axl leading an AC/DC concert.

I agree, but if Angus is determined to do the shows without Brian, who else could he get to draw more excitement for a killer show?  I do hate losing Brian for their fans, but this is better than AC/DC bringing in an unknown for 10 shows.

Look at it this way - unlikely as this seems, it's probably our best chance of hearing Axl sing an album's worth of 'new' material.

Axl would do very good looking at it objectively, with no fan-feelings factored in. I'm also sure shows will sell very well with Axl at the front.

If reports are to believed they are actually thinking about bringing in an "unknown" for the permanent position as lead singer. So, I guess in their (AC/DC's) mind, Angus is such a big draw in itself, that the show will go on ? doing just fine.

For new (full time)lead singers, the third time is not the charm. Just ask Gary Cherone.

I know, but the thing with Axl is systemic...its all overreacted, I would dare say disrespectful...the man is a rock legend and people treat him like shit.

I guess if Axl's doing these 10 shows, he doesn't have to deal with the fan reactions to the same extent as a permanent replacement would have to.

If this is billed as Axl guesting AC/DC for the 10 shows, helping out the band to complete their US tour, people will be more relaxed about it.

It'll be different for the permanent guy coming in after.

I can see a divided AC/DC fan base from the get-go though, no matter who wields the microphone.

In this particular case, I think it's more about the fan's feelings about Brian leaving. So they feel they have to take it out on someone.

Since I'm a fan of both bands, it would be cool to see this happen. My only concern is if Axl can handle both. There will be a lot of pressure on Axl as is for the upcoming GNR shows. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to add even more pressure and work.

I saw AC/DC 3 times at Madison Square Garden (2000), Giants Stadium (2009),  and MetLife Stadium (2015). The 2000 and 2009 shows were much better than the show last year. The show from last year was good, but I kinda got the impression they were mailing it in. I think they should retire at this point.

I don't know about an entire show but this could be pretty cool with a few or a handful of guest singers. Axl would vocally be perfect for this gig obviously. IF he does it I'd love to see him sing a few songs he hasn't covered in G N' R. Would be awesome to see him belt out some more obscure bluesy tracks like "Night Prowler" and "Little Lover" and for a rocker, "Kicked In The Teeth."
