it was getting pretty late

Pretty sure it was after 2 when Axl came out.  I took off at like 2:45, right after Dizzy, Robin, & Fortus left, bc they said Tommy was already gone.

Well, i'm listening better from 14th Show and i know that many of you are goin' to kill me but I think Axl has problems with his voice. Come on and listen to the part in minut 2:50 or what hi signs before the solo. He reminds me the 2002 voice and I don't like it very much. What I heard from the 12th show was good but the quality very poor. I don't know what to think... I'm goin' to see him at Rio and I hope his voice to be awesome. I'll cross the fingers

And IRS Guy, What is your problem with velvet revolver? rant

All things considered that is a veeeeery high note dude. He does sound a little out key. Maybe PA problems or sth dunno. His voice was sorting disappearing among the instruments. They were too loud for some reason. Or at least that was the impression the recording gave us. Maybe someone who was at the venue could give a better insight on this.

i agree on all counts. lets hope he can sing "better" next time.?He sounded fucking awesome in may 12th tho.

Just read Axl mentioned he lost his voice and even mentioned that on stage and thanked Baz for introducing him to his voice coach. I think I got it now. I read another post on mygnr about a fight Beta got into and everythings. Anyways the point is it was mentioned he was somewhere with Sean Penn - party ?

That was a good chuckle,

and at the end of the show he made a serious Mother's Day tribute to Beta!

He said he wanted to introduce a old friend. The audience started to buzz but then Axl said "Now don't get carried away...." because I think people were thinking Izzy would come or something.
Axl said he has spent the last 13 years trying to save his life and that Baz has spent the last 13 years trying to end his...he was being slightly humorous obviously. He said Baz could have told him to go suck his his own dick but that Baz was very kind and accepted Axl back!!! Smiley

that was pretty funny...with the way Axl said "very special guest" the crowd did start to buzz....but he quickly said, "Let's not get too crazy." and then i think everyone realized he was only talking about Baz.  bummer.

I dare say Axl's awesome performance and voice from night 1 took it's toll for night 2.. maybe that's why he did a shorter set to keep some for the following night. Maybe he should always have a day or so between shows.

Axl also compared NYC to Vegas. Saying you could lose your shirt if you don't play your cards right. He was talking about having too much of a good time in NYC!!! He calls NYC his new Paradice City!

Ok,, so I just got back home in Florida from last night concert, Just have one word for it. AWESOME. It was kind of a fu@#@# dream come true. Got to meet really cool people .. including mr axl rose himself at the bar heheh.. you ll see him in the picture.. I have a bunch of videos.. and a lot of stories but i am so @$ tired.. I ll post them tomorrow.. just some pictures right here for you guys..   GNR is BACK! Grin Grin peace

My sis got the setlist... theres 5 songs which get rotated in.. Madagaskar, Rocket Queen, IRS .. they all get rotated between the four shows.. IRS first, then Rocket Queen.. what next?
