No no no! I love Slash! Never done anything to me.. But he did mention a release in March.. and it could be a "tiny" joke, and turn out to be GH2 ..

But lets back to the topic!
If AC/DC, METALLICA, GNR turned out to play at the download festival. How big do you think this would?
3 of the biggest rock/metal band in history! I would buy tickets right away Cheesy

Sounds good, but the GH2 part sucks. They didn't have two albums worth of hits!

I was standing in a shop about an hour ago. There was this loud big haired person talking very loudly, he came across as a know it all type. He comfirmed to the entire shop that he was going to the Download festival, Metallica were going to be there and Guns N'Roses were headlining according to management, although they (GNR) may not turn up as Axl Rose is temperamental and likes to walk off stage half ay through sets.

so funny to hear  hihi

FYI, I pm'd him on the queen board directly.

I'd say don't take everything he said as gospel and we'll leave it at that.

And according to Martin from Velvet-Revolver.com in the latest Kerrang! issue there are "hints" towards GnR:

In the new issue of Kerrang there is a lot about Download festival.

In the contents page where it lists the confirmed acts and tells you which page to read about em, there is a phrase next to each one......

and all of them are GNR song titles.? This seems like the biggest hint ever.? I am contacting my sources at the moment to try and establish some fact.
?

Is this edition of Kerrang! out now?

^ In the inside cover, where they have pics of all the 'artistes' in the edition, there is the name of a Guns track above each one, 'Pretty Tied Up', 'Estranged', and 'One In A Million'.

There is no other mention of Guns in the mag...

How many people will be at Download?  Looking at Halfin's pictures of VR at Download last year, it looks like 100K or so??

I think it's more important at the moment to focus on the "exclusive" part... like in the UK tour thread, this tells us that a UK tour can't happen if GNR are at Download.  It's almost a confirmation.   peace
