Normally tickets get sent out about 10 days before a show like this.  BTW I went to Donnington in '88 this is my first return since then.  Looking forward to it immensly.  A bit sick that they are now selling day only tickets though.  I ended up buying a weekend ticket just to see GNR.

Yeah, that's trully sad, not only for GN'R fans, but for Metallica fans also...

They should have that option from day one. It's the main reason I'm going to Lisbon and Madrid and not RAR and Download...

I see that the Prodigy 'clash' with GNR. I hope for once Axl's late so I can get the best of both!

Who said anything about that? Huh

No-one. I just wanted to know the odds of getting all of GNRs set pro-shot this year

No chance for Download, they might get a few songs put on the highlights, but it'd most probably be well-known tracks like sweet child or paradise city.

Only one or two Velvet Revolver songs were broadcasted last year, yet we got a Full Proshot from dime within the week.

Download highlights on Channel 4 will show their most popular song or the current single. So I reckon it will be Better or Paradise City.

That depends on whether they are trying to promote a UK tour...

Their are plenty of other bands their worth seeing...if its rock you are after try The Backyard Babies, Ginger and the Sonic Circus and A7X. If its the heavier stuf then I can throroughly recommend Opeth, if its alternative try Coheed and Cambria. I actually think Download is great value for a rock fan this year.

I'm guessing that Prodigy will play before Guns N Roses! I would be suprised if Axl agreed to playing whilst another huge band were on at the same time. I may be wrong its only my opinion, but I hope I'm right I have not seen the Prodigy play in a few years now so I dont want them to be playing at the same time as the nights main attraction! Mike

I have'nt read all this thread but, if you have seen the posters, you would know that

1: GNR are playing Download.
2: They are playing on a different stage to the Prodigy.
3: The Prodigy are rubbish so it does'nt matter.

They wont be on at the same time.  At nearly every festival I know the headlining band play without any other stage being in action.  The Prodgiy and any other band will have finished their sets before GNR take to the stage.

But that would be just your opinion mate! I hate mettalica but I would never say they are rubbish because to other people they are their favourite band!
