I have 2 hours left on the countdown, which would make the announcement at 4am here, or 6am out east.
Odd time, wouldn't you say?
I think you're mistaking hours for days.
Yeah, I realize that.....now.
Thanks for pointing it out.

Q104 in Halifax is making a major concert announcement at 7:20am on Monday morning
http://www.q104.ca/
I checked with the station. The concert announcement is for GN'R, so it may be a good idea to tune in if you live in the Halifax area.
Nice one Mysteron! Halifax aint as far away as Japan now is it...
God I want to see GnR soon! Exciting times... Wonder if Bubbles will make an appearance on stage again too?

I don't know if what i have in my mind right now makes sense... anyway:
Looks like GN'R are looking for places where they had a great attendance in the 2006/2007 tour. I mean, they had sold out shows at Japan and Canad? in 2007 and 2006.
And, considering that an annoucement will be made in 2 days, it's safe to think about January or February dates in Canad??? IMO, It doesn't make sense doing a big announcement to so long dates, like March or April. Then, maybe they'll go to Mexico and/or South America in March. After that, they could be doing european summer dates and leave US to the middle/end of the World Tour.

I'm thinking the dates could actually be in November, before the Asian dates, almost like a warmup.

I'm guessing that depends on management et al. Also on shows being announced first

I think every province on the east coast has an arena except Newfoundland.

There are other arenas in other cities that aren't occupied by NHL teams.
Canadians really, REALLY love their hockey.

For me it says the amount of time that's left until 8am on Monday morning. But since that's in the middle of the night over in Canada, I doubt that's the time for the announcement.
Now 8am on Monday morning local time somewhere in Canada on the other hand, would make more sense...
/jarmo
Its set to your computer clock for Monday 8am, where ever u are
I'm still seeing the countdown for 8am Sunday, less than 12 hours from now. Apparently I'm getting the exclusive before everyone else.

Yes, we love the continuous action it brings compared to overweight baseball players scratching their balls every two minutes

Quebec City
Halifax
Moncton NB (or something near there)
Ottawa
all of these cities have announcements coming on Monday per various radio station/promoter websites...
http://www.c103.com/
Awesome if they're playing there
http://www.monctoncoliseum.com/english.htm
Manson played there in September in a show put on by GEG, who are the ones with the GNR countdown... C103 is Moncton's Classic Rock station, note the banner at the top
