Could Axl Rose Be AC/DC?s New Singer? Axl Rose was spotted in Atlanta over the weekend, and according to MSL from GNRTruth, he was there for rehearsals, but not for Guns N? Roses. While MSL?s tease on GNRTruth doesn?t specify what exactly Rose is rehearsing for, it has led to rampant speculation that the legendary Guns N? Roses frontman could be one of AC/DC?s guest singers for their upcoming concerts.
AC/DC released the following statement earlier this month: ?AC/DC are postponing the remaining dates of their U.S. tour because of lead singer Brian Johnson?s possible hearing loss. The band says in a statement that doctors have advised the ?Back in Black? singer to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss. The group?s shows beginning Thursday in Atlanta through April 4 in New York are being rescheduled for later in the year ? likely with a guest vocalist. The group?s lone stop in Florida would have been Friday at the BB&T Center in Fort Lauderdale. AC/DC opened the most recent U.S. leg of its ?Rock or Bust? tour Feb. 2 in Tacoma, Washington.?
Do you think Axl Rose should front AC/DC at one of their upcoming concerts? If not, who would you like to see? Let us know in the comments section!
Guns N? Roses frontman Axl Rose took a photo with a fan outside of Atlanta hotel yesterday, and when the fan wishes him luck at his upcoming reunion shows in Las Vegas and California, Rose had some big news for the fan. Rose said, ?Thanks man, but we?re gonna do a whole tour.?
The fan also said that in person, Rose was looking in great shape. ?I don?t want to speculate or spread rumors but it really looked like he?s been working out a lot. His arms looked muscular.?
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan said he ?hopes to? see Guns N? Roses? 2016 tour, which will feature the reunion of original members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan.
When asked if he was surprised, Corgan said he saw it coming.
?No. I said five years ago it?ll definitely happen. It?ll just be when and where.?
He added, ?I just think the band, however you want to quantify it, broke up, or the original lineup didn?t endure past a certain point, and the world has changed a lot since then. The band is so great and the music is so great, and the chemistry is such a part of what people love ? including me ? as a fan. It would seem a crime to not be able to enjoy and appreciate the accomplishment in this era.?
Former Guns N? Roses manager Alan Niven has revealed the rumored payday for Guns N? Roses? four upcoming North American reunion shows at the Coachella Festival and in Las Vegas next month. He also said that the Guns N? Roses reunion isn?t legitimate without Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler. Niven told the New Rock Times, ?Unfortunately, all things considered, I can only assume that its only for the money. How else to explain the lack of statements about creativity, or even who the band is? ?How else to explain a ticket price of $1250 for row H.?
?For that matter, without Izzy and Steven can it be called a Guns n Roses re-union?,? he asks.
?Without them it?s really just Velvet Roses. Why aren?t those two included? Maybe there is not enough money to go around ? after all, rumour has it that AEG are only paying $26,000,000 for two Coachella shows and two shows in Vegas.?
Niven believes it is a ?financial decision? to leave Stradlin and Adler out of the reunion.
