I don't think Booker was that far out of line, especially on the waiting issue.  Being pissed at Axl for the delay does NOT make anyone less of a GNR fan.

I've said this before and I'll repeat it, some people (not referring to anyone specifically) think that in order to be a "fan" of Axl, you must agree unconditionally with everything said or done by him or those surrounding him.

Truly being a "fan" means you can objectively criticize the person for his shortcomings rather than attempt to justify them all the time, while remaining an ardent supporter.

Given the last ten years, every Axl fan has the right to criticize him for his procrastinations, especially given the fact that he's been so prone to teasing and tantalizing his fans with the imminence of the album's release.  ("We're gonna deliver and it's gonna be out of the ballpark!")

He'll never turn his back on an autograph, but if you were to buy GH where no one in GN'R gets any royalties from, I doubt he'd autograph that for you.

I must ask, Aunt Ger, are you insinuating that Dizzy won't sign anything unless he's getting royalties from it?  If I approached him with a pen and a pad of paper and asked him to sign it, would he turn me down, simply because he isn't receiving money for that pad?  "Never turning your back on an autograph" means you sign anything the fans ask.

Also, a poster on this site (can't remember who) once said he approached Dizzy with the first Slash's Snakepit album (to which Dizzy made a substantial contribution) and Dizzy said "I'm not signing that fucking record!"

So when we'll have CD (because there is a chance - maybe), we won't be fans anyomre, 'cause we get the damned album? And now the ones who are curious who is in the band and who is not are not fans? This is not a normal functioning for a band, but nobody make you a fan, you chose that on your own free will. If you dont like it, then go home.

I'm a fan, but I reserve the right to criticise when something happens that I do not find slightly amusing. For example the Buckethead disaster. For all we know, he might even be in the band and we just got bogus reports. That's how it works and you're not human if you're not a tad pissed off or at least quite surprised.

For all the Questions. I understand why Dizzy (and for sure Axl too) is sick of all these Questions, but you know it?s normal. There are a lot of true Fans out there who are waiting for something new. But they also want to get some infos. So, it?s just normal to ask the same Questions all the time. But if there is anyone who don?t believe in Axl, Dizzy, Tommy, Richard...in GnR, that person wouldn?t still be here.  I hope we will get something new soon, cause I believe. Guess I worded that wrong.......Dizzy would sign anything regardless if he got royalties or not from it, but come on! Be realistic about it. All of the band members contributed to the GH songs that are on that new release.  Sooooooo do you think it fair that they don't get a damn cent for it?? And if you were involved in it, would you be happy to put your John Hancock on it knowing that? I think NOT!! If Dizzy did in deed say that about Slashes Snakepit Album, he must have had a reason. I put a picture of Dizzy on a t-shirt and he autographed it for me. It wasn't authentic with any type of logo, but he did in deed autograph it. So he would sign any paper you handed him, even the paper you wish to wipe your sweet ass on.

Wow! Booker......sorry you have so much animosity built up in you. I'll only comment on one thing. I was told by three people that have actually heard the songs on CD. I believe they would not lie in telling me this. Everyone is entitled to their oppinions on GN'R, but negative comments sure as hell are not going to get Axl back in action. As for the album coming out by Thanksgiving. Dizzy himself said in an interview that it would be out by June, and when it didn't come out by then, I was told by Thanksgiving. Sooooo I made an ass out of myself by posting that and it never happened. Well.......for wonderful people like yourself........I won't post anymore information I may have, whether it be true or not. Sorry for the insults, but I can dish them out just like anyone else, and I will defend GN'R and it's members against anyone who disses them.
