The only song that ever made me cry is "I'll Take The Rain" by R.E.M.  There is just something so heartbreaking about it, that melody.  When my dog died, it was the first song I listened to after that and I just completely broke down.  I don't know if I could ever listen to it again, honestly.

The first time I heard the NIN version of Hurt, I cried.

Another wrenching song for me - I don't cry, but I feel like I'm about to, I get goose bumps and I really feel the emotion run through me, is Broken by Seether (featuring Amy Lee).  Shaun Morgan's voice on this song really gets to me.

Janis Joplin's 'Trust Me'

Her voice, the guitar melody, the lyrics....none of them are sad really but together they make me very emotional.

Not to sound macho, but the only time Ive ever cried because of a song was when I was seven and heard Puff the Magic Dragon.

Doesnt mean stuff doesnt strike deep though. Tends to be stuff that catches me off-guard: like "Sleeping In" by the Postal Service. Its just so nice.

Patience gets to me sometimes when the mood is right, and the memories of yesterday have multiplied...

Has anyone heard Coldplay's "The Scientist"?

You wanna talk about a sad song, I caught that song in a movie last night having not heard it in months, and I just lost it...

Coldplay have never appealed to me, but there's definately something in that song that tugs you're aching heart... Embarrassed

Silkworms! hihi

Nah seriously:

Hurt by mr Cash - mostly with the video though. Shit its making me feel all funny just thinking about it.
Love Will tear us Apart - Joy Division
The Ship Song (Amongst others) - Nick Cave
Dont think twice, its alright - Dylan
Patience - Had a little tear at Hammersmith, its mine and the gf's song of sorts. Also had a tear of rage though when Finck fucked it up. Again.

That'll do it. Damn those evil ex-girlfriends.
