When I was a Kid (11 years) I saw in the news that Freddie Mercury had died, but I didnt knew who he was or anything about him at that time, but the TV network passed the song  "The Show Must Go On" i didnt Knew english at that time and I just heard the song and I cried  Cry, I guess is only the mood of the song, the feeling of the guitar that made me cry I don't know But I know is a excellent song and it made me cry  crying, so the question is what song or maybe what lyrics have made you cry?

A song called, "Honey" by Bobby Goldsboro. I heard it for the first time when I was 12. It was on one of my aunt's old story-telling records from the seventies. It's a sad story about a guy who loses his wife to an illness. It's a real tear-jerker.

My eyes got a bit moist once as I was listening to 'Fall of Man' by Arcturus. I was hungover, and the sublimity of the music got to me. But it's cool because Arcturus is THE SHIT.

the last part ff an american prayer (jim morrison\ the doors)
this is some of the lyrics... reminds me of my grandad, not alive  Cry

So you know how pale & wanton thrillful
comes death on a strange hour
unannounced, unplanned for
-like a scaring over-friendly guest you've
brought to bed

No more money, no more fancy dress
This other Kingdom seems by far the best
-until its other jaw reveals incest
& loose obedience to a vegetable law

I will not go
-Prefer a Feast of Friends To the Giant Family

Actually I didn't cry for this song but I saw a friend cry for "nothing compares to you" by Sinead O'connor, I was in NY with my friend and we were waiting for her father in the car and she cried like a little baby, cause she haven't heard it for ages, and she remembered a bad thing that happened to her.  Cry

Wild Horses by the Stones, every time i hear that i weep. The Rythm guitar is so emotional and has a sensitive texture to it's tone.

Nothing yet, but strangely the live version of November Rain (on Live Era) comes close... I like the vocals especially the last part. Axl does it with so much emotion! yes

Just one...

Sometimes You Can?t Make It On Your Own from the new U2 album. THats a song Bono made for his father that died in 2001. I cant say I cried but it brought tear to my eyes, especially the part when he sings

"A house just dont make a home
don?t live me here alone"

Try listening to it, reading the lyrics. If you know the story behind the song theres no way you wont get emotional

Once...only one time did this happen.  After a tough breakup with my girlfriend a couple years ago i was listening to Fiona Apple's "Love Ridden" and the lyrics were really sad and she sounds like a sad little girl and i just broke down.  It was a new low in my life....But! like i said, only once.

George Harrison - my sweeet Lord Cry

What a great album, All Things Must Pass.  Could have easily made another Beatles album with some of his material.

This isn't a song, it's more about the song and seeing the video.

Johnny Cash's version on Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt" is a great cover version on its own. But when you see the video, it just makes more sense. It was made in an age of videos where people are showing of their wealth and videos with half naked women dancing around.

Nice contrast to all those..... Considering he passed away not too long after makes it even sadder.

That is a very great video.

If I had to choose one song, it'd be Wasted Time from Skid Row. When my brother was ill, really ill, I was listening to this song and cried. It was all about that situation. (Although I know it's originally written about a drug-addict friend's death.) Thanks God, he recovered.
