four shows were sold out and not even half the people knew who was in the band.. GNR does a show people buy it doesn't matter who's in or out at this point, the name is bigger then any member there today.. You had all those celebrities like lindsey lohan going, it's pop culture, seeing gnr today is trendy...

In all time rock they always measure up roughly top ten, this is why they sell, the old band made them ,this is just the past helping the new..

you could be right but please remember that Axl just uses the NAME to promote his new album, this way the guy keeps his fame alive while people think he's the same rock star that the planet knew before but should EX-GNR members do the same after bein' humiliated by AXL this way ?

the magic of gnr back in the day was the world fell in love with them.. Nobodies that became global sucesses, household names, so many millions of albums sold... That's something you can't just recreate.. The gnr name has a massive following, they were one of the biggeest rock bands in history.. People loved them for that what you see is what you get raw feel... Their attitudes, their swagger, their don't care attitudes...

You just can't recreate these things, many old bands that were huge make changes but they still have success simply because they have die hard fans that follow the name..

I'll even use vr as an example, it wasn't some special magic, it was just scott slash duff fans following one of their projects..

people follow axl and gnr because those two things are special to them, but the magic of what made gnr great is no longer there regardles of how talented the players are....

it's like loving a team 69 or 86 mets, sure there are better teams but that was just magical though... Anyione can start an all star team, but you'll still love the teams you have been following,,.,

When it comes to loving a music group it has to be a natural thing ,somethign you just love, something that wasn't already huge using it's past success to regain glory..

It's like KISS could start again and throw on makeup and do one of their fairwell tours and they would do great regardless of who was in the band, it's all due to past success....
