i have an insane amount of their official bootlegged stuff anyway, i'm guessing i'd have 90% of the versions on this already.

why can't they just release another live DVD!

i wish they would release some of the demos from bad radio.  Believe you Me and Homeless are really good imo.  they fit right in with other Ten outtakes.    They made betterman a hit which started as a bad radio demo.  why not 2 more?

Maybe that's something they'll do for their 20th anniversary next year.

my guess is cost.  live albums are much cheaper to release since you don't have to film, edit, etc....

I heard on Pearl Jam Radio on Sirius/XM that there are plans for more releases in the works.  More like what they did with the re-issuing of Ten, they plan to do similar things for ALL their albums.

they've played enough places which have pro-shot recordings done anyway, hyde park for example they could easily release a compilation from their european festival tour surely?

Pearl Jam finally detail Vs., Vitalogy reissues

By Michael Roffman on February 3rd, 2011

After months of speculation, Pearl Jam has finally issued details on their forthcoming deluxe reissues of Vs. and Vitalogy. As expected, it?s one mammoth-sized release, chock full of rare goodies, unreleased material, and packaged in a delightful box. Depending on what edition you grab (it?s a tad confusing and complicated), there?s plenty of material to enjoy. We?ll just throw it on the table and you can sort what you want or don?t want; that is, if you even plan on buying it.

    * Three bonus tracks, recorded by Brendan O?Brien during the Vs. sessions, include a previously unreleased acoustic rendition of ?Hold On?, unreleased studio outtake ?Cready Stomp?, and the band?s cover of Victoria Williams? ?Crazy Mary?.

    * Three alternate takes: ?Betterman? (guitar/organ-only mix), ?Corduroy?, and ?Nothingman? (demo, taken from original DAT).

    * Copy of Live at the Orpheum Theater, the band?s April 12, 1994 performance in Boston, MA, which features a special performance recorded at the tail end of the Vs. tour. As the press list indicates, the performance ?showcases a dream setlist created especially by the Pearl Jam crew and has for years been one of the most sought-after recordings among serious aficionados.?

    * Box set only: LP editions of Orpheum Theater performance, exclusive collector?s cassette w/ live tribute and studio performances from the band?s friends (originally broadcast on January 8, 1995), an 80-page composition book featuring photos, drawings, and artwork, and a glassine envelope containing lithographs, postcards, and posters.

If you?re willing to fork over 160+ dollars, those latter rarities will no doubt satiate your appetite. However, the Super Deluxe Boxset is only available for purchase on the band?s official site. Pre-orders start today, so get those Mastercard?s or Visa?s ready.

But wait, there?s more. On April 12th, Vs. and Vitalogy will also be available as Record Store Day collector?s items, as new commemorative, vinyl editions will land in independent record stores four days before April 16th (RS Day). If you?re confused, check out the band?s official goods store. Just maintain self-control? you might walk away $200 dollars lighter.

All sets have a street date release of 3/29.

They have snubbed my home country for 18 years.. although I don't think the problem is Pearl Jam, just our lousy promoters. Anyway, I'd like to see them live some day.

They've never played Finland? That's rather surprising.

They have, in 1993 (2011-18=1993 Wink) with Neil Young. "We'll be back Finland".. yeah right hihi And everyone said the gig sucked, don't know why though. But in 2009 Eddie said that they'd like to make it up for their fans in Finland.. still waiting Tongue
