I also would like to see GNR do another Metallica tour but only if CD comes out.? Otherwise, what's the poingt?

whats the point anyways?  Metallica tours all the time, its not hard to go see them if you want to.  Why would you want to compete with Metallica fans for tickets and pay more, get a huge non-personal venue, pay 12 dollars for a bottle of water as opposed to 5.  I mean seriously, i dont know why people want GNR to do a double headliner show...its so much better to go see two concerts than deal with all the problems of double headliner shows.

Seriously.   By the time Axl finishes a gig anyways, it's likely to be 1:30 - 2:00 am -  Not sure I could handle a Metallica set BEFORE an Axl event these days

Sebastian Bach sucked.
I hope he never opens for anyone ever again.
I hate him.

GN'R could never open for anybody again. not even Jesus.

The were scheduled to open for The Rolling Stones last summer, until Keith fell from a tree....

I'd like to see GNR, Sex Pistols, ACDC, Metallica, Skid Row (with Seb) and Ozzy in 1 fucking place.  Maybe for US fans we could put in Ramones rather than Pistols but in the UK this line-up kicks ass.

Before people diss this I'd like to say that I feel 34 years old but listening to Guns makes me feel 18 again.

Keep out the Ramones and keep in the Pistols.  And throw in Oasis.

l think maybe The Prodigy,Slipknot or Korn would be good openers yes , Bullet For My Valentine were shit last year at Glasgow, they were just shouting, screaming at the top of their voices and making noises on their guitars, they were shit

Wolfmother sucks. ?Id rather hear like a Zeppelin tribute band. ?Muse? ?are you people serious. ?I dont get why you want different fan bases or bands that play completely different music. ?I would rather see GWAR than Wolfmother or Muse, at least GWAR would be funny and probably entertain and work up the crowd. ?(to clarify I dont want GWAR to open, just saying theyd be better). Also I wasnt trying to say that patton would blow GNR away musically, but he is such an incredible and versatile performer, that id just be worried people would be comparing his act with Axl's. ?You dont want an opening band to steal thunder. ?You want them to entertain the crowd and work them up for you. ?Get a band that is low maintenance, plays somewhat similar music, is entertaining but clearly the supporting act, and is good enough to worth the audience up for the main act. ?Thats why I think a Manson thing would be good. ?Hes in the twilight of his career, he is well known, and he has songs that people would know. ?Also if anyones seen Manson live in the last couple years, he really is only good for 45 minutes, his voice fades after that.

I still think Drive by Truckers is the best I can think of. ?Low maintenance, smart, southern rock, great guitarists, catchy songs and would definitely not cause any problems with anyone. ?

If youre counting on a supporting act to help bring fans in youre totally wrong. ?A supporting act should be a bonus to fans going to see the main act not a reason for anyone to go to the shows. ?No one is going to pay 90$ to see Muse play for 40 minutes, well maybe someone, but not many. ?I think people are thinking of bands that will "draw fans," ?but thats not what an openers supposed to do.

Think ACDC with a GnR theme, and you then have Buckcherry.

Well with out a doubt the perfect opener for Guns N Roses would be Velvet Revolver. ?You all know the reason why if you don't your reading the wrong Forum.

It's hard rock in the vein of GNR, really.  Just newer.  They have three studio albums.

A lot of their songs are sampled here:
