Motley Crue...If Vince and Axl can put the early 90's behind them. Have a co-headlining tour with both bands playing their full 2:30 hour sets. That would be an amazing show!

Motley ( 7:30 - 10:00)
Guns ( 11:00 - 1:30)

The Crue has been touring nonstop for a couple of years now...I doubt they'd be up for it.

However, a nightly Axl v. Vince throwdown during the opening act would be killer!

I'd also love to see Alice Cooper or Social D, though SD doesn't strike me as an arena type band.

This is a rumor off another board (actually I've seen it on a couple and I dunno where it started):

Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, and Van Halen triple bill.

I could see Aerosmith perhaps, since Axl has sang with em before live, but Van Halen? And I know GNR was gonna open for the Stones till Keith fell out of that tree, but could you see them opening for Aerosmith the entire tour? Even as a double bill... Axl is always late...

So I'd say that rumor is crap.

What I'd like to see:

Muse (I've heard many good things about their live show)
A7X
Billy Talent (will never happen I know)

Weezer
Audioslave

I don't think Audioslave would ever happen... Weezer did it once before though.

Army of Anyone <--- Now that I think could work well.

And Suicide Girls to fill in the breaks.

Can I put a request in for The Suicide Girls?  I missed out on them since I saw the shows before they were on with GNR.   Sad

Anyone else think a "Metallica-Guns N' Roses: 15 Years Later" tour would sell well?

Probably. I wouldn't enjoy it though, I don't really like Metallica's music.
About MCR I don't really know them but I think they had a breakthrough recently in the US...
Yeah, with the emo teenagers.  hihi I dont want them taking over the GNR shows.  nervous

It really seems that MCR is really expanding beyond emo. Black Parade seems to be an UYI type throwback and people are eating it up. I think MCR could really expand their fan base soon. They have a different feel than that Falldown Boy, AFI, and other shit bands.

I would definately LOVE to see a GNR/Metallica tour, i mean who wouldnt?  With both bands having albums due out this year, i could quite possibly see a summer/fall tour in the works, especially with lars joining GNR on stage in oakland.  However as sweet as this would be i doubt it based soley on the fact that a "headliner" would be nearly impossible to determine.  I understand this is a GNR forum and dont get me wrong i love em to death, but at this point in time with the short history of this new lineup i doubt that many promoters would deam them worthy of being the headliner of a tour, with METALLICA opening up for them.  And i doubt uncle axl and co would take the title of an "opening act" for a band such as metallica.  I love both bands, and even though metallicas recent stuff has, well basically sucked, i still think they would most likely need to be the main attraction, and i HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY see that happening for GNR.  i think buck cherry would be an amazing combo, their new album is awesome........to be honest it is the first actual cd i have bought in over a year........usually i just download the 1 or 2 good songs a band releases, but this whole new cd is gold.

Id love to see Manic Street Preachers and GnR, Manics were very big GnR fans back in the early days have new album coming out in April / May so a month promotion in Europe with Guns as a warm up shows before heading off on there own headline tour that would rock.

I saw MCR at a small venue and can vouch for them, the new album is very GnR - circa Illusions era. Not sure if they would support GnR though. Personally I'd like to see Baz as I missed him this year cause of the bloody traffic trying to get to London for the second wembley show (luckily made it in time for Gnr).

To the people who keep saying Muse - it just aint going to happen!!

Whether you like their music or not they are huge right now and getting huger. They were bigger in mainland Europe but are now massive in the UK too and I imagine will start to make inroads into the US soon.

Not a massive fan myself but yes their live show is generally acknowledged to be the best show around. Unless Matt Bellamy turns out to be a huge Axl mark and does it as a favour it will never happen. Why would they? They've slogged their guts out and got to the top- they are done opening for anyone.

Silvertide, Buckcherry yeah all good. What about Roadstar?

Or if we are saying Muse how about U2 followed by a reformed Pink Floyd (with Waters) opening  rofl
