well, i got the TWIN PEAKS DVDs.
i was watching mulholand drive and i was like " i need to check out that twin peaks show ..."
so i *bought* the dvds.
and i started whatchin them. i've seen the PILOT, Episode 1, and started episode 2....
i dont wanna go further, i'm waiting for my g/f to come to france, and we'll watch it together ( she needs to get out of Clue Less, legally blond and all that stuff
)
i have one word: GREAT.
i mean, i can't really describe or say why i like this show. but it's just great.
i watched the movie a long time ago, i was young, and i can't remember anyting, so thats cool, i can watch the series peacefully.
well, david lynch rox.

Another Twin Peaks fan??? Excellent
Twin Peaks is one the most groundbreaking shows in the history of TV. Sheryl Fenn has been my only hollywood celebrity obssesion.
The characters, scenario, plot...is simply amzing.
I don't have the DVD's, but I've watched the series 3 or 4 times. The best episodes are the ones David Lynch directed.

yes, the acting is really what amazed me, the characters are so well rendered ....
there are so many characters but they all have thickness and a meaning.
i can't wait to finish the series, but i don't wanna waste it and watch it too fast .... i want to enjoy it .....

My childhood in the early 90s can be defined by three things:
1) Guns N' Roses
2) Twin Peaks
3) Football
I've seen that show from start to finish about 7 times. I have all the episodes on tape, plus I got the first season on DVD. The DVD release of the second season should be coming out this fall, at least in Europe. As far as I remember there's some legal hassle which might delay the American release.

well, i watched episode 4 last night, i had to watch all the episode again with my girlfriend, an she loves it, she just hated the part with the Dwarf in the red room (the dream) where he shakes and all .... ahhahah....we had to stop the dvd and sleep she didnt wanna watch further.
well, it is greater, better, funnier, weirdier, crazier .... i love it.
the characters keep building and are so real. so many of them now.
Cooper is so cool. his character is amazing. (lucy is cool too lol
)
so check it out, all of you.

I think you need to see the series and the movie to get an idea as to what truly happend to Laura Palmer. And why. All the answers come into the movie, if you see the series without the movie, you'll always have questions unanswered. If you see the movie alone, you'll be lost.
I think the red room is the antichamber of death.

uh... yeah, but my questions weren't related to laura palmer.....
and i m not really into the movie, the whole prequel thing, i think TP is better off with the mystery in the series, the movie would ruin it i guess ....

Just a question about Twin peaks... please...try to help me...who is BOB?
David Lynch is a genius but a fucking weirdo at the same time, he is so complicated in his mind that his movies/series are very hard to understand....Who is BOB? It makes me think to "Mullholand drive", years later, I still dont understand anything.

well i found some answers.
well, bob is bad spirit which poseded human souls.
He wanted loras soul, but she was so strong and that was the reason why he killed her.
he made the deal with her father when he was weak child.
Bobs power in the world wwasn't big,but in the lodge he was a masteronly pure sould could kill him
I hate the end of the series because agent cooper sold him his soul to saved his girlfriend.
Major brigs found white lodge, and potentionaly he could kill Bob
My favorite act is sherif truman and laura(because he was so fuckin strong)

One thing about twin peaks and david lynch always puzzled me :
In twin peaks, a father go to a brothel, finds his daughter is a prostitute, has sex with her and kills her ( basically)
Many years back, a girl whose name was lynch from hollywood made gossip lines because she was rumored to sell herself for 50.000 dollars and the mag then said one of her clients happened to be her dad once. Lynch, the father, but the director ?
So would twin peaks have been a way to exorcise calling up a call girl and meeting his own flesh that night ?
