Now isn't that great attitude towards fans ?
I guess but you have to draw a line somewhere and be confident in your material and just go with it.  Why not invite fans into the recording studio so they can critique all the songs and help construct the album?  What the hell do fans know anyway?  If they know more than the band, that might be a problem.
Not that this matters much, but Bon Jovi actually did invite kids in to listen to some songs from Slippery, (I think), and tell them what they thought of them before they put the album together.  Worked out pretty well!

Yeah, Jon was against putting Livin on A Prayer on the album but the kids liking it so much changed his mind

Too bad he didn't let the same kids listen to Keep The Faith album

how  The Radio Saved My Life Tonight got left off in favor of some of those songs is a travesty.

I think if Keep the Faith didnt have a couple of its average numbers like "blame it on the love of rock n roll". It would be as strong as Slippery and New Jersey.

Cause for the most part i love Keep the Faith album but always find myself skippin some tracks. I also think the song "Fear" is crying out for the guitar solo its missing.

Two of the best unreleased songs in Bon Jovi's back catalog:

Starting All Over Again
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIwLLUoYHsY
Just a really great powerful rock song

Save A Prayer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oWE5b3V_8A
On this one they sound very much like Achtung Baby era U2, both guitar and vocals.

These both appeared on the Australian version of Keep The Faith, but were removed on later pressings and replaced by the Keep The Faith film clip on there.
If there's anything of this quality on the new album coming out, I'll be happy.

Have u ever heard "Radio Saved My Life Tonight"

It is one of my top 5 favorite Bon Jovi songs of all time and it was from the KTF sessions

There are live versions on You Tube but Jon sings it in his lower register live and it isn't as powerful as the recording where he sings very high.

Here is the recording

Save a Prayer isnt on the album usually? Ive only got that album in Mp3 and always thought Save a Prayer was apart of the album. That sucks, i like that song and i totally agree with the U2 comparison, i always thought it sounded like that era U2!

It was when it first came out way back in 1992, but when those Bon Jovi remastered versions came out, the last two tracks were removed in place of Keep The Faith film clip, or a live performance.
And now you can't find the original version anywhere, only the remaster. Shame, because as I said, they're two of the best tracks.

And yeah D, I had a listen to that Radio Saved My Life Tonight song too, another great track from the KTF sessions.

The new song isn't too bad either. It's better than the country stuff on the last album.

Amen!  But that's not tough to do, in my opinion.

I bought a KTF import so I could get Save A Prayer. I think that song was released in the states as a B Side to either Bed of Roses or In These Arms.. I can't remember which
