Thanks for the news Mysteron, we appreciate it even if it is bittersweet. Is the record label stuff the same old or has any progress been made?

This is a good thing. Don't get me wrong, I would have LOVED to see them play RIR again. I could have even had the chance to go there this time, since I know a guy (a friend's bf) whose family lives in Spain and they visit them all the time.

But sorting things out with the label is way more important than playing one gig.

OT. Just my thoughts... if history is the best source for facts like Mysteron said, this I guess is what happened with UYI...

They negotiated with the label in September 1990 about the format (how many albums etc). The label wanted to change something in June (?) 1991 and the release was delayed because of that (and supposedly because the band wanted to tour instead of negotiating). They stated that the albums were done in June 1991. They played songs from the albums on tour. UYI were finally released in September 1991.

Correct me if I'm wrong. 

I hope the negotiations are going smoothly this time.

Thanks for the update, Mysteron.      Your first sentence is very reassuring and the second, well, it just makes me go all tingly thinking about what treats are in store once the album is released.  Anticipation running at an all time high now...

You know I just had a thought about what Mysteron said and wanted to come back and comment;

I do not mean to be one of those people who "reads too much" into one or two sentences, and I apologize if thats how I come across but I sincerely don't mean to..

But when Mysteron says that "the band" are sorting stuff out, I couldn't help but consider that this does mean, as stated, that the whole band, and not just Axl, are in discussion with the label, meaning that this could lead to possible forthcoming promo / marketing / interviews etc? Anyway, wishful thinking. Sorry.

Yeah, I just thought that classifying the release of the album as a "cool thing to happen" is a bit of an understatement haha
