(2) Which classic album is your favorite?

Stone Temple Pilots

Ok fair enough--but this is about the early 90s "big four" from Seattle.

I am going with Nirvana.

U have to think back to that time period. Nirvana have been worn out and all that, but I thinkthey were the best

Pearl Jam have the 4 or 5 songs I love most but overall I'd probably go with Nirvana.

Nirvana
Nevermind

Nevermind is an album like Appetite that is good all the way through....every song is good on it.....that cant be said for any of the other bands..especially with  Soundgarden and Pearl Jam redefining the word "filler" one song at a time.... Smiley

I also think Oasis was a way better 90's band than ANY of the above mentioned bands....

Pearl Jam
Ten I think they had a few albums that were just as good maybe even better then ten in the 90s though. I would rank Versus and No code right up there with Ten maybe even Yield and Vitalogy.

Indeed - goes without saying

...though i would add Alice in Chains go the distance vs the other three, but Pearl Jam have the best moment

1.Nevermind
2. Dirt

I bought both the week they came out. I saw a 'buzz clip' of SLTS on MTV ( when they used to play music) and picked up Dirt since I liked Facelift a lot.

Was interesting to see them both those albums explode on the charts.

Nirvana. I've heard some of PJ and Soundgarden's stuff and I wasn't that keen. Looking to buy more AIC though Smiley

Nevermind, though like someone else above, I like In Utero more.

Pearl Jam used to be my 2nd favorite band, especially when GNR sort of disappeared.  I bought all their albums through Binaural and Live on 2 Legs.  But No Code was the last album I really listened to with any regularity.  I was never huge into Nirvana.  I was a casual fan but I was more of a Pearl Jam guy.  But I loved Nirvana Unplugged.  Some real good stuff on there.  I became a fan of Soundgarden and AIC later on as well.  But my vote would have to go for Pearl Jam and Ten.

I disagree.I thought nevermind kinda sucked apart from the songs that were released as singles.I've never saw what the fuss is about that album.
