I was looking for the real chords of Better... the ones I saw were pretty simple, with just power chords and stuff like that. I don't think the main verse riff (or the chords) is just that. It's not just about power chords, you can tell just by listening to. But anyways, here's some screen-shots I made with Robin playing the verse:

I can say the first chord is (with drop D, of course):

8-8-8-10-11-8

or

----8-----
----11---
----10---
----8----
----8----
----8-----

I thought it would be better to ask the musician himself, so I emailed BBF. Here's his answer:

All's well, thanks Smiley It's drop D, I'm playing power chords... Bb/// /// / /// / D/// /// F / D/ / , but Rich and Robin are adding some highre extensions to the chords... maybe if you email Rich, he might be able to help with that...? Smiley

bbf

So, I'm trying to get the other chords.. Anybody could help me with that?

Thanks dudes... but listen to the Bucket lead made by my friend pdl05, it's truly amazing:

http://rapidshare.de/files/25786577/better1_-_perfect_crime_-_brasil.mp3.html

http://www.sendspace.com/file/f2oxh3

The intro still needs some work, tho. But this guy really can play!!

Ok, this one is better (no pun... ok, you got it). It still need some work and a lot of leads:

http://www.perfectcrimegnr.com/downloads/Better_01_(base).mp3

I played the rhythm guitar and some small leads and pdl05 played the lead (the bucket part and the intro).

Yeah, the mix isn't that good yet... Like I said, it still need some work and some lead (like Robin solo). I recorded and mixed yesterday, late at night... And my E string is gone, lol. Need to buy new one. Tongue

Hey, you're a bassist, if you haven't already learned "Better", I submitted a bass tab and a pretty good guitar tab to Ultimate-Guitar.com, I'm 100% certain that the bass tab is as correct as can be! ok ok

Haha, that's fuckin' jokes dude!

After I read Voodoo's post and listened to his version days ago, I was like "well time to learn Better on the bass" and since ultimate-guitar.com is the only tabulature site I really use, I found only one bass tab which I now know is yours Cheesy

It sounds pretty damn accurate so far, but I dont have any picks laying around the house, so the song is kind of harder to learn at the moment by just plucking Undecided

Yeahhhhhh lol you definitely need a pick for the Bridge III Riff, but trust me, I listened to multiple versions of it live and I can confidently say it's 100% correct

Sorry dude, but this tab is not right.

Here's the right tab (I didn't made it, it was a friend of mine, pdl05):

E--18--18--18?18?18?18?18-----18?18?18?18?18---18
B--20--22--20?22?20?22?20-----22---------22---20---22?20

B--18--20--18?20?18?17?18--
G--19--19--19?19?19?19?19?

E---0----0-----0?--0?-
B--15---17---18?-20?

This is 100% accurate.

This is 100% accurate.

You wanna bet it's not right?

http://three.fsphost.com/PokerDude442/Better_Instrumental2.mp3

Listen to that, compare it to the original.

Listen to yours, compare it to the original. You might be basing it off of the live version, but either way I don't think the live version intro is correct versus the original recording intro.

I can't listen to that because I'm at work right now, but I'm pretty sure the intro is not that different in the live version. Of course, the last notes may be played different because Robin need to put the first chord, but that's it. So, I assume it's the same riff, same notes, same tab.

Did you listen to the version we made?

http://www.sendspace.com/file/791111

I dunno how are you playing, but I tried your version and it doesn't sound right. Then, I tried this other one and all went well. I dunno if you tried the version I posted, but if you did, make sure to use distortion - the harmonics will not sound like the demo and/or live version.

Trust me, when you get a chance to listen to it, you'll see what I mean. I used a distortion produced by a DigiTech RP200 mixed with a Boss Dynamic-Wah.

We have some server troubles, looks like some files are lost
if you have lost files please upload them again, accounts still exist, sorry!!

Your file is not there anymore.

But, like I said, I already tried your tab.
I also tried your chords tab and it wasn't right either, since it only had power-chords. But anyways, maybe if another person compare the two tabs you may believe in me.
