They only managed to do one new song before splitting up again.

Actually they began work on their new album, then decided they'd finish it after their tour with Motley Crue. Aerosmith is on tour right now, not in a cave somewhere, I see them in November.

A track from their new album, due next spring... a return to their bluesier style.

this isn't a new song from the upcoming 2007 album, it's the title track of their new Best Of record, already in stores...

this and "Sedona Sunrise" are the only new songs on it... both are pretty good.

I love Aerosmith and I see them live whenever they come around, but their habit of releasing a new greatest hits CD has now reached the absurd. Their is now another new one out that features two new songs. What is really pathetic is that there wasn't even a new studio CD released since the last Greatest its CD.

They have now reached a level of absurdity only previously discovered by Kiss. Do they need the money this bad?

No KISS is much worse with all the merchandising. Besides Aerosmith was working on their album before the tour while KISS has no plans to do another album. I've seen a bunch of new KISS compilations in the past few years, the difference is that none of them have ANY new songs. They're probably releasing the greatest hits so they have something to tour to and possibly to help fufill a contract.

They should just follow in GN'R's footsteps instead, they've been touring for years without anything new out... hihi

Hmmm.. dind't think too much of this song. It's ok, but doesn't really sound like a return to the roots, more like a return to something off Pump. I thought a few tracks off the Nine Lives album were pretty good too.

I love Aerosmith usually, but it's crazy that they have another "best of" cd now.  They already have "Greatest Hits," "Big Ones," "Gems," and a bunch of others.

Regarding the new songs, I would love to hear them without having to buy the whole CD - I already have all the other songs.  iTunes doesn't have this cd yet.  From what I heard during a 30 second clip of each song, they definitely sound more like Aerosmith from the late eighties to early nineties.  It's actually kinda refreshing to hear.

What about that album  'rockin' with mojo or boho or whatever it wasZ? Was that all covers? I liked it, although I can never remember the name. But it did come between greatest hits albums. I agree, enough is enough. They clearly are milking their name, but...their name is great and they have earned where they are. So more power to them. At least they have more than 3 albums..unlike some bands I could name that are on tour RIGHT NOW that are living off their first album....hmmm, who could that be...?

All their songs have sounded the same since Permanent Vacation. They need to explore a little bit. They suck.

They have experimented more after Permanent Vacation than before.  Look at Nine Lives and Just Push Play.  That's not to say that I like their experiments that much.   I hope their next album is good.

I've seem them 4-5 times now in concert, and they put on a great show.  Joe Perry is a great guitar player.
