this looks pretty damn cool. the plot is interesting, it seems like its a little more than just the war between the machines and humans, as connor says "this is not the future my mother told me about". here is the all thats been said about the actual plot.


"Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale), the man fated to be the leader of the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators, and the future he was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they find out a terrible secret that may lead to the possible annihilation of mankind."

I like what i saw in that trailer. It really looks like it will be good. May can't come soon enough.

hmm, the trailer looked AMAZING, but not an immediate fan of this "twist" with Marcus Wright.    Adding in new elements is cool, but I hope they don't deviate too much from the story we've all come to know at this point....

ehhhhh, i guess so.... but then it's kinda like there is no reason the first few movies even needed to happen!?!??!  Changing it TOO much from the original would be stupid and prob piss off a lot of fans.

Considering that the story of the 2nd movie is about changing their own story, I think the fans will understand....

I liked the future war depicted in the first two movies better.

This one doesnt look as cool, visually.

They could of left the set looking cool like the first two though.

I mean the exceptional quality of the set on T2's future war scene is fucking EPIC

but we don't know really how fair into the future war those scenes would be.

I have a feeling over the other two movies of the new series you will see that stuff.

Yeah this movie is just early on in the war in 2018. We'll have to see how it progresses in the next two. We don't know how far in the future the flashback scenes in T2 and the original are supposed to be. So that can explain why it doesn't look like that in T4 yet.
