I'm getting the feeling he's gonna keep Megadeth going. But even if he doesn't I think he'd bring em out once a year for Gigantour. But even if he doesn't decide to call his work "Megadeth", I'm sure its still gonna sound like Megadeth.

If you go by the Black Album it would be 14 years.
If you're a n00b to Metallica and metal, then yeah.?
Yes?
I'd put Master of Puppets and Black on a par - but and justice for all is for me a truly dire album
A new mix could save it - add in a bass line, alter the guitar tone, deal with the drum sound- and u might have a good album
As it is it sounds like an album of the same song
I think Master of Puppets is way better than Black album, MOP sound way better than Black album even if MOP just have 8 songs.

Not only did the Metallica thread become a Megadeth one, but now the Megadeth thread is turning into a Metallica one.

I suppose its only naturally - Mustaine was in Metallica and with the death of Metallica, Megadeth are undisputed leaders in whatever genre u consider them to be part of, thrash, speed, heavy, rap

I bought Marty Friedman's Dragon's Kiss release (pre-Megadeth) its some pretty good stuff - they should certainly have used some of these tracks as Megadeth songs, if these were Megadeth songs they would have been some of their very best work....

I think Dave rules Megadeth like our favorite redhead rules GnR.

Lol - even more so, its Dave's way or the highway - even Axl hasn't fired as many members as Dave has....

Dave Mustaine has annouced Megadeth lives - and will do a new album!
Apparently he annouced that (once again) he'd decided to keep Megadeth alive, having 'ended' the band on two previous occaisions in the last three years
Terrific news, Megadeth have to be the only band that was great in the 80's that has a current album that rivals anything they have done in the past - The system has failed is my fav album of the decade

Sorta a GNR-type band
. ?Metal but still tuneful. ?A great band for anyone who likes rock ?[ok]
Please...?
I find it extremely offensive for GN'R. It's insulting.
BTW, my opinion on that band? like the imense majority of the heavy-metal bands: ridiculous, fake and noisy.

Yeah, The System Has Failed is such an awesome album! And it's not one of those albums you listen to a few times and it gets old, it's a classic

Mustaine has worked insanely to get where he is, dealing with many issues and being told that he wouldn't be able to play guitar three years ago from an injury. Megadeth disbanded, but he still managed to release a new album, re-release and remeaster previous albums, tour for The System Has Failed and organise and tour for Gigantour in under two years, all for his fans.
What's Axl done?
